The year of 2016 is ending in a few days and I really can’t believe it. It went by so quickly and in that time so much happened. Looking back at 2016 makes me wanna hop into the new year without missing this one. After 12 months I am now feeling better, stronger and wiser. Let’s see what I did and achieve.
Looking back on my 2016 New Year’s resolutions I achieved some of them. Firstly, I wanted to become more organised. Yeah, about that…I’m still a mess, my desk is still a mess – but now I understand the term of decluttering for better and minimalistic living and I’m practicing it wisely. I cleaned my bedroom and donated all to a family who is in need.
As in a blogging way, I grew so much. This is the perfect opportunity to thank you all loyal readers who stick with me through everything. I grew my social media, I got more returning readers than last year and I have my brand new blog layout. So happy with this part. This year I got the chance to work with some great new brands like Artdeco, Misslyn, Herbio, Dvorec Trebnik, etc. I’m looking forward to working with them in the new year as well as trying to impress some new brands. Thank you for your enormous support.
In education, I decided to change my master’s so I’m heading to a new Uni this October for two years. This is one of the best decisions I’ve made this year. Personally it helped me deal with my fears and that way I let myself free. This January I’m passing my Bachelor’s degree and I’m really looking forward to it.
Personal: In the beginning of 2016 I went to a holiday after a long time. My anxiety was reduced so much that I really enjoyed my time off, even for three days. Later, I went to my summer holidays also without anxiety. I’m so happy for this major step. Although my anxiety is increasing in this time of the year I’m not going to let it ruin my travel urge. Also I grew up enormously, read so many books about mental health and met so many people having the same problems.
So yes, it’s been one hell of the year. I learned to be better, to relax and most important to listen to your body because this connection you have with yourself shouldn’t be discarded. I’m grateful for my friends and family that finally understands me and wants to help me all the way.
I must say I won’t miss this year. Some great memories will stay with me forever, but 2017 must be better!
